Benjamin Goh (CFA holder) is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Singapore Institute of Technology, Singapore’s fifth autonomous university. While waiting (impatiently) to start on his PhD, Ben teaches a variety of finance courses specialising in business valuation, derivatives and investment analysis. Before joining SIT, Ben was the Market Strategist for CIMB Research where he provided analysis and insight on market moving events, the global macroeconomic environment, assets allocation and individual securities. Ben had been interviewed on Channel News Asia’s First Look Asia, Business Times and provided market commentary on 938 Live every week Monday to Thursday. Prior to that role, Ben was a fund manager with CIMB’s Discretionary Investment Unit. In his previous lives, Ben has held a number of diverse roles in JPMorgan, Credit Suisse, Deloitte Consulting and Hewlett Packard. An adjunct instructor with CFA Singapore, Ben’s speciality is equity analysis, portfolio management and economics. Ben has also been a trainer for the Institute of Banking and Finance, Singapore Exchange and was an adjunct professor for Singapore University of Social Sciences, Nanyang Polytechnic, Murdoch University and Singapore Management University. Ben sits on the CFA Society of Singapore’s University Outreach and IBF Standards Review Committees and the Singapore Exchange’s Advisory Committee for IBF Standards. Benjamin received his Masters in Finance from the ICMA Centre, United Kingdom, in 2002 and became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 2001
