About This Course

This course aims to provide learners who are interested in pursuing a skills-based career in the baking food services industry with the necessary expertise in preparing and baking basic cakes.

What You’ll Learn

Learners will be able to:

  1. Prepare and bake multiple complex cakes using correct baking techniques in a timely manner.
  2. Identify unique ingredients used in the preparation of cakes.
  3. Demonstrate different mixing and baking techniques and methods of preparing different types of cakes.

18 years old, with reading, writing and numeracy competency no less than WPLN level 1.
